Our Forever Begins Here

Welcome

We can't wait to celebrate with you

After eight wonderful years, two cities and one very persuasive golden retriever, we are finally saying "I do" — and there is nobody we would rather have beside us than you.

We've created this little corner of the internet to share every detail of our day: where to be, what to wear, where to stay, and how to let us know you're coming.

With all our love, Emma & James

Our Story

How We Got Here

  1. 2019

    How We Met

A rainy Tuesday, a crowded café in Bath and one shared table. Two flat whites later, neither of us wanted to leave.

    How We Met
  2. 2019

    Our First Date

Dinner that was meant to last an hour stretched until the candles burned low and the restaurant politely turned the lights on.

    Our First Date
  3. 2026

    The Proposal

On a quiet morning by the coast, with the sea mist rolling in, James asked and Emma said yes before he finished the question.

    Our Wedding Day

And now the very best part — celebrating with the people who have loved us through all of it.

…and the story continues with you

Dress Code

Garden Formal

Think floor-length dresses, elegant midis, tailored suits or your favourite formal outfit. We would love to see soft, romantic tones — but please wear whatever makes you feel wonderful.

Our Colour Palette

  • Ivory
  • Champagne
  • Dusty Rose
  • Sage
  • Taupe
  • Soft Gold
  • September evenings turn cool — a wrap or jacket is a good idea.
  • The ceremony and drinks are on grass, so block heels or flats will serve you far better than stilettos.

Virtual

Celebrate With Us From Afar

We know not everyone can make the journey. The ceremony will be streamed live so you can still be part of the moment.

Watch the livestream

The stream begins at 1:15 pm BST on Saturday 18 September 2027. A replay link will be shared afterwards.

Frequently Asked

Everything guests usually ask us — dress code, children, transport and RSVP timings.

  • Black tie optional — think long dresses, dinner jackets or a smart suit. The ceremony is on grass, so block heels are a kind idea.

  • A coach leaves the town square at 12:15 pm and returns at midnight. Taxis should be booked in advance, as they are limited locally.

  • We adore your little ones, but we've chosen an adults-only celebration so that everyone can relax and enjoy the evening. Children of the immediate family are of course included.

  • Your invitation will name everyone we've reserved a seat for. If you see "and guest", we'd love you to bring someone.

  • This is England, so we've planned for it. A covered terrace and the orangery mean the day carries on beautifully whatever the weather.

  • Yes — free on-site parking for 80 cars, and you're welcome to leave your car overnight and collect it before 11:00 am on Sunday.

  • There are rooms at the manor at a discounted rate, plus two nearby hotels listed in the Travel section. Do book early, as September is a busy month locally.
